For every legend, there is a Hero.

Nora... Is dead. It's rather hard to believe. *starts at the beginning* We went out to a small potluck this evening at a church *way* out on the prairie. And we went in, and, although there were four vehicles outside, only two people were inside. Upon finding out that all the others had gone out to the cemetery out behind the church, I went out, and braving the smell of freshly spread dung on the surrounding fields, went out to join them. There was a new grave dug over, with the earth still in a high mound... and... the tombstone read "Nora Keim 1906" Even standing there... I can remember her. Sure, I haven't seen her in a few years, ever since she moved to the states to live with her son... Now she was six feet away from me... just... infinitely far away. It's really a strange thought. I suppose death will take us all sometime or another. *can't say he's really afraid of it* Whatever comes, comes... I just pray she didn't suffer. ...and hopefully her ninety-nine years were good ones. *hopes he can one day learn that he was the reason for some happy memories in her life* ...rest well Nora... ...in loving memory of a loving woman: Nora Keim 1906-2005...

For every innocent, there is a protector...

Since when did I ever become a Bishonen? We recently ripped out the sink and vanity in the lower bathroom in this place, and now I can get a full view of myself in the mirror... and... Honestly, I am. The long slender, straight legs, one foot placed in front of the other at a slightly diverging angle, the "V" chest that's more of the "punk lean" look than the "Bahamut" one. Hmmn... I guess I just need a ruffled shirt with lace cuffs, long, straight hair, and a rapier tucked through a cumberbun, and I'd be set! Anybody know where I can get those? *grins*

Soooooo... I guess I should write about the weekend coming up! Woot! ...starting from the beginning though! Two weeks ago me and my family went to Canmore to visit a couple we know. There, we discussed... well... everything from the "primacy of Peter" to Jewish dogma, to road rage (I trashed several cars on the guy's Xbox while we were playing against each other) to working on starting a church (which we put into action last week... another story for later) to... well... an idea for this weekend. (Yes, I *do* eventually get to the point!) Anyway, the idea was to possibly get together there again and play Halo... for upwards of eight hours some Saturday evening/night/Sunday morning! (*all* of the previous, not any/or) I got back to him on Tuesday saying I'd love to... and he was actually suprised, thinking that I wouldn't want to spend my time with a bunch of guys older than me... psh! Anyway... he gave me the email of a mutual friend (one who I haven't spoken to or seen in ages) who might be able to give me a lift out there. I emailed... and waited... and waited... and finally today, while doing my taxes, the phone rang and there was the friend on the phone! (or his wife, actually ...*fears he might be muddling the finer details but figures it's ok because the details will only convolute the story*) He was wondering why I hadn't responded to his email and *phoned* him... I would have, except that I never got it... *raises an eyebrow at the email provider* ...we finalized details, when I'd be picked up, I made the discovery that they live about four blocks away (small world, non?) and then we parted. Now, I'd been told to be ready for pickup between four and four-thirty... but upon hanging up, I realized that I had no idea what *day* they would pick me up! *grins* So with an hour until four, I began preparing... and even now my effects are awaiting pick-up in the hall downstairs! ...it's for tomorrow though *grins* Ah, what fun!

Now is the portion of the blog where I respond to the fan mail! Hmmn... so I was never taken for a blogger, mmn? Hmmn... well, I'm still not sure I *am!* I mean, I still can't figure out what to *write!* I know I am writing, but... news sucks. So I need feedback... *what* should I put in here? Philosophical commentaries? Answers to the questions of the ages? Heartfelt exposes on current affairs? *doesn't stay up on current affairs, so hopes that won't be one of the choices* Well... next time I hope to have solved a riddle that I'll post. ...without the answer! :P God bless

For every evil, there is a greater good...

God is good. *rubs his eyes* I have no particular reason for saying that... only... that it's true *grins* So... since this is my first post on this service (("Haven't you heard that Blog is a game? Everyone knows it'll drive you inSANE! ....Blog...." ...these moods hit me... I find it's safer not to fight them... anyway.) ...I'm actually at a lost as to what to *say.* Sure... I could just *talk* and ramble, but... who *really* wants to read the crazed ramblings of ...of... a... crazed rambler? Honestly? Hmmn... possibly I should post some news though. First off... I got my driver's license today. I passed the exam on Wednesday, but I finally had the opportunity to go to the registry today and get the paperwork started, and should have the card in my hand next week sometime. *smiles* I know... it's taken long enough. *doesn't need to be told by any *more* people* :P ...and I have now subjectively learned that chin-ups *do* work your lats *quite* effectively... *grins* *is wasted* I need sleep... goodnight world :) GB
